Files

This chapter describes the basic procedures to save and work with the various types of ARC+ files:

Model files storing your designs

Batch files recording sequences of commands that you frequently use

DXF/DWG and dump files for transferring ARC+ models to and from other programs or systems.

Certain additional types of files are discussed elsewhere in this book, for example text and font files (see Text) and library files (see Placed Objects & Libraries). A summary of ARC+ file types appears at the end of this chapter.

You should be familiar with the procedures for naming, storing, copying and deleting files using your computer's operating system. For specific information on this subject, refer to the documentation that came with your computer or operating system.
