Files Created by ARC+ Commands
The following is a partial list of files that ARC+ creates or changes in response to your commands. Unless otherwise noted, each file has a name that you specify plus the listed file extension, e.g., yourname.ddd or yourname.dmp.
IMPORTANT Be careful before deleting a file. It is the permanent record of your work. Many files are essential for proper operation of the ARC+ system.

TEMP Subdirectory & Temporary Files
A number of temporary and permanent files are created in your working directory while you work. They are automatically deleted when you quit ARC+. If you want to delete or move files in your working directory (e.g., deleting, moving), make sure not to erase any of these files while your model is open. It may corrupt your model. If you want to "clean up" your working directory by deleting extraneous files, first exit ARC+.
ARC+ creates a \temp subdirectory in your arcplus directory during installation. Most temporary files are now created in this temp subdirectory, and are erased when you exit ARC+.
There are however certain temporary files starting with @ that are created in other locations in the system. These are deleted when changing working directories (using \open and \save) as well as quitting. If you encounter a serious system error and you must reboot your computer, certain temporary files may not be erased.
