Merging adb Files

This command copies the ADB part from one ARC+ file to other files. Imported configuration elements will overwrite the existing configuration elements. Inexperienced users should avoid using this command.

\copyadb

 

You can merge the following elements from ADB files:

Layer configuration

Batches

View when opening the file (Plane, Axo, etc.) – if automatic 2D/3D display option is on.

Camera & section manager settings

 

To activate this command, you should have only one open session of ARC+, no other model file should be open (you should be in "New Model"), then the following dialog box will appear:

Click onimage\ebx_15198179.gif button to open the Open ADB file dialog box:

Select the ADB file that you want to copy in your template and click on Open

The file path gets loaded in the Original File field Of Copy ADB dialog box.

Click onimage\ebx_-1553605836.gif to add the target files with which the loaded ADB file will be merged.

Select a target file and then click on Delete if you want to remove any target file.

Click OK to integrate the ADB source file in the selected target file(s).

 

image\ebx_1712504276.gif IMPORTANT : Using \template command is not advisable. This command copy pastes an ADB file without sorting the preferences to be imported. There is a risk of overwriting the important configurations you have created recently.
