Stereolithography (STL)

Stereolithography is a technique of "rapid prototyping" that is useful for creating solid objects using a digital model. There are various methods of stereolithography useful in creating fine layers of superimposed material. For performing this operation, the stereolithography machine adds and removes the material or hardens the liquid by laser radiation.

Stereolithography is used commonly for various industrial processes, especially for creating the prototypes and plastic mock-ups before starting mass production of some products.

Even though the mass production of architectural projects is a rare practice, the stereolithography can prove to be very advantageous in creating physical three- dimensional models. Using ARC+, you can save your models in universal STL format that will let you create real models of the 3D models of your projects.
