The depth of field
The depth of field (DoF) is the portion of a scene that appears acceptably sharp in the image. Although a lens can precisely focus at only one distance, the decrease in sharpness is gradual on each side (near – far) of the focused distance, so that within the DoF, the unsharpness is imperceptible under normal viewing conditions.
The DoF section manage the possibility to set the focus mode and each his parameter in case of user defined.
Focus mode
All in focus: This option does not apply any DoF and Blur effect. The whole scene will be in focus.
Manual focus: this option allow the user to define a distance from the Eye that determinate the exact distance in Focus, the DoF, near focus, far focus and blur are calculated automatically using the Focus lens, F-Stop and calculating the front and rear circle of Confusion.
Clicking on Focus distance, a dialog will be displayed to set the distance in meters, and the options to show the focus distance by point or plane, the icons to change his graphic attributes.
