Saving the View in a File

You can save the current projection of the model in a separate ARC+ model file. This is useful, for example, to prepare a specific projection for plotting.

In the projection file, all entities are converted into lines. Regardless of the direction of view, the plane of projection is renamed as the XY plane in the file. This allows you to edit the file easily, for example by adding text and dimensions in the plane of projection.

Optionally, you can remove hidden lines or add shadows in the 2D projection file.

You can also save a solid viewing file, for example, of a very large model that you might want to display again. This eliminates the need to recalculate the view.
