Saving a Template

Supposing you are working on an ARC+ model and during your work, you create new text styles or modify the layer configuration. To apply these parameters to ALL the new files that you would create later using the Open as option, save the model as template.

\saveas

While executing this operation, the system saves the template of the current model with all the preferences that you specify.

The new template is saved under the name that you attribute in:

…ARCALIB\TEMPLATE\MODELS folder while you work in modeling mode (GEOM).

…ARCALIB\TEMPLATE\DSG folder while you work on layout (DSG).

If you wish to keep the preferences without geometry choose the "Only settings" check box in the dialogue box. If there is no design on your screen, the saved icon will be the one in \RESOURCE\TEMPLATE\MODEL or DSG\DEFAULT.ICN as per the case.
