Managing the Layer List

List Mode or Tree Mode

You can display either the tree of the layer that you have created or the complete list of 255 layers supported by ARC+.

$image\ebx_-389672544.gif$ Tree Mode: Displays the layer tree.

Modifying multiple layers

You can modify multiple layers simultaneously by selecting them in the list. For this, use the Ctrl or Shift keys while clicking on the layer name.

Sorting the Layers

The layer list can be sorted according to certain criteria. The sorting order can be modified by clicking on the name of the column defining that criterion. A small triangle indicates if the sorting is done in ascending or descending order.

Displaying and Hiding the Columns

You can also hide and display the columns in the Layer Manager. Right Click on the name of the column and select an option in the menu that appears.
