Dimensioning Parametric Objects and Openings

You can use this option to set the constraints (lower or upper limits) for dimensioning existing or new parametric objects.

\dimpar

Setting the Constraints for Dimensioning Parametric Objects

image\ebx_-726553584.gif HINT: Refer to Parametric Object  for detailed explanation regarding creation of parametric object.

Select Set constraints option.

Indicate the dimension line for which you are setting the constraints and confirm your selection.

Enter the minimum value and then the maximum value in the command line.

image\ebx_1693072387.gif NOTE: You must enter positive values in the current unit. The minimum value should be lower and the maximum value should be higher than the length of the selected dimension line.

Save your file in the library following the usual procedure described in the chapter mentioned above.

Placing the Parametric Object with the Constraints of Dimensioning

The values higher and lower to the indicated range are not accepted while placing the parametric objects for which the constraints are set and an error message prompts you to correct the entered value.
