Creating a MET File

An MET file (name.MET) contains all the data necessary for the plot but without the parameters of configuration of the plotter and without the configuration data of the plotter. ARC+ prepares the MET file as an intermediary phase for any plot requirement. The MET file is generally cleaned after the plotting of the drawing on the plotter.

Follow the steps below to create an MET file of the current drawing:

Select this option in the dialog box Plot Management (\plot)

The file is created in the current directory with a name identical to that of the drawing.

You can create a *.MET file for plotting on another computer using ARC+.

From the current drawings, you can create plot or print files (from existing *.MET files) as well as the .PLT files.
