Starting the Cameras and Section Manager
\csmanag
When you execute this command, the following Cameras and Sections Manager dialog box appears:
This dialog box has 3 tabs:
Cameras
The Cameras are nothing but the views whose parameters are directly saved in the current model. A camera is mainly defined by at least three parameters:
Eye position
Target position
Angle of the perspective cone
Sections
The Sections cut the model through a vertical plane and preserve only one side of the model. The section plane can be defined by two points on the XY plane. For each section, it is possible to see the model from different views each matching to a camera as previously defined.
Planes
Like the sections, the planes cut the model but only through a section plane parallel to the XY plane and preserve the lower part of the model only. For each plane, it is possible to see the model from different views each matching to a camera as previously defined.
Common operations
In the three tabs of this dialog box appears a prioritized list of elements Cameras, Sections and Plane saved in the model. Just above this list, you can see some buttons that correspond to some operations that are common to these three elements:
IMPORTANT: Note that in this document, the term "indicated" refers to the single element (camera, section or plane) on which you would have previously clicked in the list. This should not be confused with the term "selected" which refers to the elements for which you would have checked the checkbox located just left to their name.
