Specifying a Room Number

Identify rooms and assign numbers to rooms in your model.

\roomnum

You place room numbers using the room numbering dialog box that contains options for labeling and numbering rooms. You can include prefix text to indicate numbering by room, apartment, floor or building, and set consecutive room numbering. If you need to use room names in your model, it is a good idea to place them before assigning room numbers. Numbers are placed in relation to room names: below (default) or after.

If you are numbering a room that has not been assigned a room name, you identify the room polygon automatically by clicking inside it. Alternatively, you can identify the room manually by indicating wall by wall.

You can use the Prefix label for rapid naming and consecutive numbering of multiple rooms, for example: to label a large number of offices: office1, office2, etc.
