View quantity reports.

Select the type of report you wish to view from the list.

The structure of each report is presented below. Each row of the table represents a column in the report, and the information presented in columns is separated by tabs.

Wall Report—*.rp1 (*.dp1)

Of walls with this name and attribute; openings (1) not deducted. Wall length is measured by axis (if any) or by middle

 

Total area

Of walls with this name and attribute. Area = length * average height. Wall placing sets length measurement- by axis or center or layer

 

Net area

Total, less openings

Total area—1st layer

Area of wall face from side of 1st layer

Net area—1st layer

Same as above, less openings

Total area—last layer

Area of wall face from side of 1st layer

Net area—last layer

Net volumes of layers 1-n(2)

Volumes of 1st to last layers of walls with the same name and attribute; openings for those layers deducted(3)

(1) Both new and old openings are counted.

(2)Wall LAYER volume is calculated by multiplying total wall volume by the actual percentage of that layer in the 2D wall polygon.

(3)Opening volume to be deducted from a layer is calculated by multiplying the volume of the largest negative solid in the opening (or the prismatic volume for simple openings: Xo*Zo*Yw) by the percentage of the layer in the wall definition.

Opening number

0 - for the wall itself. The openings for that wall are assigned consecutive numbers

ARC+ data base name of wall or opening. 2D name of old open., complete name of new opening (e.g., 11-20 cm., window 1)

 

User attribute

Value of user-assigned attribute, as found in wall and element reports as well (e.g., Redbrick)

 

P1 (X,Y)

X,Y coord. (m) of 1st wall pt. (measured from axis if there is one, or from middle if there is no axis, or from 1st layer of wall).

For opening—1st point of 2D open. (where wall is cut)

P2 (X,Y)

X,Y coord. (m) of 2nd wall pt. (measured from axis, middle or 1st layer of wall).

For opening—1st point of 2D opening (where wall is cut)

Width

Wall thickness: same for walls and openings

Z1

For wall: height of 1st point

For opening—height of opening

Z2

For wall: height of 2nd point

For opening: height above floor: sill level

Shape

For wall: regular/irregular (after boolean operation) (e.g., Simple or complex or arch)

For opening — indicates if opening solid is rectangular prism or more complex. For old opening: name of 3D element (e.g., Box or "Arch1")

H1

(Head 1) No. of head wall connections to current wall at 1st endpoint (0 if none)

H2

(Head 2) No. of head wall connect. to current wall at 2nd endpoint (0 if none)

 

Solid Report—*.rp7 (*.dp7)

Solid name

According to application: Roof, Dormer, Stairs, Boolean (complex). Name will be missing for a solid that has not undergone sectioning (\secte, \sects, \secta, \sectg) or sculpting (\uni, \dif, \int) operations. Wall solids are not reported

Sort attribute

A reserved attribute name, to be used for wall sorting together with the name, e.g. (Redbrick)

This attribute is optional and may be missing

Volume

Volume of all the solids with the same name and sorting attribute. Sum totals for positive and negative solids are reported

Count

displays number of solids of each type both by name and attribute

Negative

Indicates volume of negative solids

Surface area

Prism–area of the sides only, without the bases;
Complex solid–total surface area

Base 1 area

For prisms only (solid 3)

Base 2 area

For prisms only (solid 3)

 

All Elements Report—*.rp8 (*.dp8)

Includes all elements (except for openings) whether or not they have a sort attribute. The following information is given for each element:
