Setting Wall Height
When you generate the roof, walls may be automatically extended to the underside of the roof and sectioned to meet the roof slope. To accomplish this, the wall height must be set to "Extend to Roof". If you define a specific height, the walls do not extend automatically. If you use this option, the walls' top faces will be automatically readjusted whenever the roof is modified.
Set your wall height to "Extend to Roof" when setting or updating the wall height. This feature is available in the wall creation commands – Setting the current wall type (\setmw), Setting the current wall height (\mwalz), or Changing the height of a wall (\uwalz).
NOTE: This option is not applicable for wall arcs.
HINT: Define a specific wall height where the walls should not meet the underside of the roof, such as balcony walls or internal partition walls which are freestanding or extend up to the ceiling. .
Drawing a Perimeter for Multi-leveled Structures
If your model is composed of two or more structures at different levels (split level homes for example), you must design a separate roof perimeter polygon for each level. Exit the roof attributes dialog box and restart the Creating a roof (\roof) command to generate the roof for the new polygon perimeter.
