Creating a Block of Text
Use a dialog box to enter a text block in your model.
\textb
Type your text as in any text editor using the Enter ↵ key for line breaks and spacing. Text length is unlimited, although your line should not be longer than 254 characters.
You can import an external ASCII text file by entering the path in the field and pressing IMPORT FILE (the Entering text from a file (\textf) command is no longer necessary).
You can also set the text attributes for this text block only by choosing the SETTINGS option (the current text settings are not affected).
After pressing OK, a text frame attached to the cursor aids you in placing the text block. You can use the Alt keys to change the text size, orientation or origin (similar to placing an object):
Alt+3 ⎯ Reset angle
Alt+4⎯- Rotate angle by 10 degrees
Alt+5 ⎯ Increase size
Alt+6 ⎯ Decrease size
Alt+7 ⎯ Reset
Alt+8 ⎯ Origin point
NOTE Fixed text and scaled text respond differently when you change the size of the text block using the Alt+5/6 keys. Changing the size of fixed text does not affect the size of text, only the spacing between lines. Changing the size of scaled text changes both the size of the text and the line spacing proportionately.
Once a text block has been inserted you can update it with the Changing existing text (\textu) command.
