Creating 2D Files
You can automatically create a 2D file of the corresponding view for any camera, simple or associated to a section or a plane.
As you have probably observed, there is a checkbox to the left of the camera, section or plane name. This box is used to select all the cameras for which you have to create 2D files in a single action. If you check the box to the left of a section or plane name, all the cameras that are associated to it will be selected.
Click on the Build 2D button to gain access to a menu that gives you the following options:
Select all for 2D
This option of the Build 2D menu selects all the cameras of the current tab to create 2D files.
Deselect all for 2D
This option does the exact opposite of the Select all for 2D option.
Save 2D selections
The selection can be saved for later use. When you choose this option, the system asks you to enter a name to save this selection which can be found later using the Selections dialog box.
Open Selection Dialog Box
All the selections saved earlier appear in the Selections dialog box from where you can execute the following actions:

Create a report about this selection. It is a text file listing the selected cameras for each of the Manager tabs. |
Create 2D files
The last two options of the menu are used to update the 2D files. The first option Generate all 2D creates 2D files of all the selected cameras in the 3 tabs while the last option only creates those in the current tab.
The Camera Manager:
creates the 2D files in a sub folder ".\2D_" inside the current work folder.
The name of the 2D file generated by "Cameras and Plans" is : .\2D_\ModelName_CameraName
The name of the 2D file generated by "Vertical Sections" and "Horizontal Sections" is : .\2D_\ModelName_SectionName_CameraName
When you start creating, there appears a dialog box with a progress bar.
Press the Start button to start creating and wait until the end of the process.
IMPORTANT: If you have not intentionally changed the name of the 2D destination file in the camera settings, it is attached to the "2D_" prefix by default.
NOTE: The creation of 2D files may take several minutes depending on the complexity of the model and the number of files to be created.
