Status Line
The status line displays the xyz coordinates of the current cursor position and the distance and angle of the cursor from the last defined point. The coordinates of only two axes can be active at one time. If you change the view to a different plane, for example from plane to elevation, the coordinates in the status line change as well. (The coordinate value of the inactive axis is displayed in square brackets.).
The status line displays following information on the current ARC+ state. Majority of the options are interactive, which helps you to change the features of the buttons and symbols on the status bar. Following fields are displayed:
xyz
The current xyz coordinates of the cursor in three dimensional space (display only).
scale
The current display scale of your model on the screen[default-100]. Display 11 preset scales options: 1:1, 1:5, 1:10, 1:20, 1:25, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200, 1:250, 1:500, 1:1000 (1:100 by default)
off/fixed/auto
Click to change the current scaling mode (see Viewing, Setting the screen scaling mode, \sclmode command) (default off).
l
The distance (in three dimensions) of the current cursor position from the last point (display only).
a
The angle of the current cursor position relative to the last point (display only).
layer
The current working layer of ARC+. Click to display the Layer Management dialog box [default–1].
paral/persp
Click to toggle between the current view is a parallel or perspective view projection (default–paral).
model/wireframe/etc.
Click to select the work mode: Model (geometric), Area calculation, Quantity Ratio, DSG, Solid, and Advanced Viewing. In Solid mode, an additional click displays the seven options of solid viewing:
MODEL–modeling mode
WIREFRAME–wireframe mode (solid)
HIDE–removing hidden lines
SURFS–surfaces
SHADOW–shadow
MSHADOWS–shadows (monochrome)
CAST–cast shadows
MCAST–cast shadows (monochrome)

Current line attribute indicator- Indicates the color, width and type of the current line (see Basic tools, Line attribute definition, \aline command).
