Setting Working Units
Set the unit of measurement that you want to work in.

Select the working unit you want to use:
Meters (m)
Centimeters (cm)
Millimeters (l)
Feet (f)
Inches (i)
You can also change the measurement unit using the Scale and Unit toolbar:
All dimension values entered into ARC+, unless otherwise stated in the prompt, are in the specified units.
Select feet and inches as default measurement unit for the current session. When you reopen ARC+, meter becomes the default unit.
NOTE Whichever unit you are currently using, you can specify dimensions in other units by typing the dimension value and the abbreviation of the unit with no space between them, e.g.: dxy 4cm.
Feet and Inches as Working Units of Measurement
Select Feet and inches then select a display format:
Measurement in feet. Dimensions smaller than feet are expressed in decimals (for example: 1, 1')
Measurements in full units of feet and inches. Dimensions smaller than inches are expressed in decimals (for example: 1',1,1")
Measurements in full units of feet and inches. Dimensions smaller than inches are expressed in fractions (for example: 1' 1-½").
Measurement in inches. Dimensions smaller than inches are expressed in decimals (for example: 111.15").
These units can be used for online queries, system input and dimensions. The same formats are applicable for dimensions in the Set dimension attributes (\adim) command and Update attributes (\uadim) command.
