Summing Up Dimension Lines
Create a dimension line that sums existing dimension values.
\dimsum
Choose whether to create the new dimension line in addition to the existing ones or to replace them.
To create an additional sum-up dimension line:
Choose the additional dimension line option and determine the total dimension length that you want to sum up, by indicating:
The left-most dimension line (in a horizontal dimension) or the bottom dimension line (in a vertical dimension) that you want to sum-up.
The right-most or upper dimension line to include in the sum-up.
Indicate the location of the sum-up dimension line.
To create a replacement sum-up dimension line:
Choose the replace option and indicate the dimension lines to be included in the sum-up as explained for additional sum-up dimension lines. The existing dimension lines are replaced by one continuous line with the combined dimension value displayed.
