Setting Path and Drives for Libraries \libset
When placing objects remember that only the address of the placed object is inserted in the model, and not the placed object itself. In Version 7 placed objects had to be located in the working directory or ARCALIB directory. Version 13 enables you to place objects from anywhere in your system, including networks and CD-ROMs.
This command provides options to fine tune the system’s search priorities in accordance with your preferences and specific library structure.
\libset
You can redefine the system search path to:
be used on a network installation that has local and network libraries.
search for library objects in their original location first or the current working directory first, when using two placed objects of the same name.
include a new additional drive, or a drive referenced by different names on a network.
identify the drive with your previous version of ARC+ to use placed objects from Version 7.
