Dividing a Distance or an Entity
This command enables you to divide lines, circles, arcs and polygons and splines with help lines.
\hdiv
Specify the entity to be divided and enter the number of segments.
If you choose an arc/circle, radial help lines are created.
If you choose a line, short perpendicular help lines are created.
If you choose a polygon or an open spline (path), you need to choose between division by the number of segments or by segment dimensions.
If you choose a polygon or a closed spline, the system must proceed to a division by the number of segments.
By number of segments
|
The entity will be divided by equidistant help lines. The distance between the first point of the path and the first division line is equal to the beginning offset (d). The distance between the last point of the path and the last help line is equal to the ending offset (e). |
By segment dimensions
|
Define the size of the segments, the direction of division (from the beginning or the end of the path) and an offset to start division The path chosen will be divided into equal segments. The distance separating the division lines is equal to the entered size of the segment. |
The distance between the starting or the ending of the path and the first division line is equal to the defined offset (d). The size of the last segment will be lesser than the size of the specified portion.
This command enables you to create radial help lines for an arc, after specifying the desired arc, specify the required number of segments.
