Dividing a Distance into Equal Parts
Divide the distance between two points into a specified number of equal parts marked by short help lines.

Specify the desired number of segments (the default is two). Define the two points.
Since you must define two points (rather than a line) you may use this command to divide lines or spaces between entities into equal parts.
Short help lines are created perpendicular to the imaginary line connecting the two points.
To divide a line into two equal parts use the \midlp command.
