Creating an Automatic Dimension Line

Indicate the location point you want the dimension line to pass through. Dimension lines are drawn at each line intersecting the dimension line.

In automatic dimensioning commands, ARC+ identifies points to dimension according to the following rules:

Dimensions are generated for lines, arcs, polygons, solids and walls of the model (including placed objects) that intersect the dimension line at an angle of 90.

Wall dimensions are generated either at wall surfaces or axes (as specified by the user), but internal wall layers are not dimensioned.

Entities such as other dimension lines, text, help lines, hatch lines, area fill patterns and linear patterns are not measured.
