Creating a Wall at Offset
Set an offset distance to create a wall at a specified distance from a guide line.
\ofset
Specify the offset distance, i.e. the perpendicular distance between the wall and the guide line connecting the previous point to the current cursor position.
Changing the Symmetry of an Offset Wall
Press Alt+1 to change the symmetry of the wall. The wall swivels its symmetry about the offset guide line.
Changing the Alignment of an Offset Wall
Press Alt+2 to change the alignment of the wall. The wall position changes in relation to the guide line.
NOTE If you use the Update symmetry (\mwsym or \uwsym) commands on a wall with an offset after its creation, the symmetry of the wall will be changed about itself and NOT about the offset base line (i.e., its position will not change).
The offset value remains valid for the duration of the current working session or until changed by using this command again. Cancel the offset by repeating this command and setting it to 0.
To update the offset of existing walls see Updating the offset of a wall (\uwofs).
NOTE If you have used the offset line command (\oflin) prior to this command, you must reset the wall type (\setmw) and then set the offset (\ofset).
