Convert the polygon type for surface and hatch

Convert a regular solid to a complex solid, for example, to change the surface of the sides so that you can measure its area or draw hatches and patterns on it.

Regular solids are comprised of two base polygons connected by edges that are not polygons, whereas all the surfaces of a complex solid are polygons. Convert a regular solid to a complex solid, for example, to change the non-polygon sides of a regular solid into polygons so that you can measure the area of the face or draw hatches and patterns on them.

Operation

Indicate the regular polygon to be converted.

All the sides of the polygon are converted into polygons. The solid is considered one entity, but you can measure the area of the face or draw hatches and patterns on each side individually. See Queries and Quantities, and Hatches and Patterns.
