Setting the Value of the Third Axis

Set the value of the non-active axis.

\setax

Specify the value of the active plane on the third (non-active) axis. The value of that axis in the status line is changed.
If the third axis is locked by the Locking the third axis (\fixax), command, described below, you are prompted to unlock it before using this command.
When you set an orthogonal view, the system automatically sets the viewing plane as the active plan. For example, if you set plan (xy) view the working plane is the xy plane and the xy axes are active.

Only one plane (2 axes) can be active at a time in ARC+. If you switch from an orthogonal to axonometric view, the last working plane remains active until you specify a new working plane or change to a different orthogonal view. Thus if you switch from plan view to axonometric, the xy plane remains active, or if you switch from elevational view to axonometric, the xz or yz plane remains active, depending on which elevation you were viewing.
