Setting the Screen Scale

Set the screen scale.

\scale

Scale in ARC+ is the scale at which the model is displayed on the screen. It has no effect on the size of the model, which is created in real dimensions, or the scale of the plotted output, which is specified when plotting.
When you change the scale of the display, parts of the model may move off or onto the screen. You can control this movement by specifying a fixed point about which everything else is expanded or contracted.
Select one of the four options:
The current center of the screen remains fixed and all other points expand or contract around it.
Specify a new free point to be the center of the screen and about which all other points move.
The coordinate origin (0,0,0) is set at the lower left point of the screen and becomes the fixed point.
The coordinate origin (0,0,0) is set at the center of the screen and becomes the fixed point.
Specify the new scale and the method of controlling the screen movement.
If you specify a scale of 1:100, one centimeter on the screen will approximately represent 1 meter on the model.
The current screen scale is displayed in the status line at the top of the screen.
