Creating a Parallel Help Line to a Line at a Specified Distance

Create a help line parallel to an existing line at a specified distance and direction from it.

Enter the distance from the line to the desired help line. Indicate the reference line. Point to the side of the line on which you want the help line to be created.

$image\ebx_1712504276.gif$ IMPORTANT The help line is created on a plane defined by the line and the direction point. In viewing modes other than orthogonal, define the direction point by snapping to an existing entity or by typing in the coordinate values on the keyboard.
