Colors

ARC+ offers you the facility of applying 255 colors to the vector parts of your models and set any color for filling the polygons. These colors are compatible with any other CAD software.
The implications of the new 255 color palette of ARC+ 2nd Edition are:
A perfect compatibility while importing and exporting DXF/DWG files - the colors get converted with the same index.
There is no compatibility between the versions previous to ARC+ 2nd Edition (including ARC+ 2007 Edition) i.e.:
A file saved with a 255 color palette cannot be opened using a 15 color ARC+ version (ARC+ 2007 Edition and earlier editions).
New options have been added to Save As in previous versions of ARC+, that facilitate converting from 255 colors to 15 colors.
Files of 15 color ARC+ versions have a different aspect of 1 to 15 colors. (To convert the old 15 color index to the 255 color palette, use the new \clrconv and \mclrconv commands).
The modified or added objects saved in ARCALIB with 255 color palette will not be displayed in the old 15 color ARC+ versions.
