ARC+ Colors

Color Selector

The color selector includes 255 colors most frequently used in the architecture CAD tools. These colors are compatible with similar selectors of other CAD tools for quick retrieval and precise conversion of models. Therefore, these colors are fixed and their numbers and RGB values cannot be changed.

Color Selector
Colors available to add are marked by a completely colored rectangle -  ; the colors that are already added to your palette are marked by a rectangle with a white notch -
Basic Colors sub-selector -  includes the three RGB colors (Red, Green, Blue); The four CMYK colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) and two shades of gray. You can use this sub-selector to quickly select and add the basic colors to your palette. To customize these colors, see Customize Basic Colors (\cuscolor) given below.
Grayscale sub-selector - Facilitates a quick selection from the six hues of gray.
Color input field -  It displays the index of the color being selected in the selectors. You can also enter directly the color number to add it to your palette.
Click on a color to see its number and its RGB values.
Click on a color and click on  to add it to your palette and pull-down list (Color Palette). You can repeat this procedure to add more colors one by one.
Click OK to validate the color addition and exit.

Color Selection
When ARC+ is opened, by default the Color Selector contains the colors selected and saved in the template file called "DEFAULT". This file saved in ARCALIB\TEMPLATE\MODEL\ is a template file that governs not only the colors but also the text styles, layer configuration, etc. For more information on the templates see page 10-2 of this manual.
The colors displayed in the color selector form the colors set for the currently displayed model. This palette is saved automatically with the current model. You can create template files with different color palettes as per your convenience. Save them as ARC+ template (Save As à ARC+ Template…). You can select them every time you start a new model.
Saving a Color Selection in a Template
You can save a customized palette in a template (more configurations can be added later). In this design:
Select the colors you want to integrate in your model using the color selector (see previous page)
Save the current file as a template by giving the Save As command of File menu. Name the new template and click on Save
For more information on templates - see chapter 10 "Files".

NOTE: by selecting the type "ARC+ Template". The default path is ARCALIB\TEMPLATE\MODEL\ - location of "DEFAULT" Template, the default ARC+ template.
