Trimming a Wall or Segment
Trim a section out of a wall at any angle.
\wtrim
State how you want to trim the wall:
by one line (trimming the end)
by two lines (trimming a segment)
Specify whether the trim is:
at right angles to the wall
at any angle
In the case of arcs, right angle implies a radial trim, i.e., at right angles to the tangent at that point or radial through the center of the arc.
Indicate the wall to be trimmed.
Trimming the End of the Wall - by One Line
Specify one trimming point to trim the wall at right angles, or two trimming points if the trim is not at right angles. In the case of a right angular trim, the trim line is perpendicular to the wall through that point or, in the case of an oblique trim, it is along an extension of the line connecting the two points.
Indicate the side of the wall to remain unchanged.
State whether the end of the wall is to be closed or not. Confirm the result.
The wall is trimmed or stretched to the trim line.
Trimming a Segment from a Wall - by Two Lines
Specify two trimming points, to trim the wall at right angles or four trimming points (two trimming lines) if the trim is not at right angles.
State whether the ends of the wall are to be closed or not. Confirm the result.
NOTE The trimming points do not have to be on the wall itself, although it is recommended to place them as close as possible. If you replace walls that have been trimmed obliquely, the oblique trim is replaced by a right angular trim at that point.
