Rotate and scale randomly

Using this command you can apply a rotation or random scale change to many placed objects at the same time. These changes can give the model a more realistic style.

If no entity is selected after running this command, the system asks you to define a capture window between two points in which the entities to be processed will be selected.

Following dialog box will appear:

This dialog box is divided in two main parts, one for rotation and the other for scale change. The two buttons at the top of the dialog box are used to select the modification method: you can choose to have a rotation or an identical or random scale change in a range, for all the selected objects.

When you select Fixed Modifications, only the left fields can be edited to determine the fixed values. When you select Range Modifications you can, for every range, enter the upper and lower limits between which the random values will be chosen.

Rotation

You can define different rotation angles for every axis:

Rotation angle around the Z axis

Rotation angle around the X axis

Rotation angle around the Y axis

Reference point

You can indicate a point of the boundary box of objects as a central point of rotation by simply clicking on the appropriate corner of the figure. You can also use the origin point of the object or the center of the boundary box.

Scale

Like rotation, you can define different scaling factors for each axis, and you can also define a global factor applied to the three axes.

Reference point
