Power clip
This command enables you to clip an image using a 2D polygon.
\imgclip
Power clip is a powerful command, which enables you to use a vectorial contour to clip a raster image. It has varied uses. For example, you can use Power Clip to integrate a facade from a photo in an elevation that you are working on - it suffices to isolate the facade from the background of the image by plotting a polygon around it and clipping the outer part.
1. Image before applying power clip. |
2. A 2D polygon is plotted on the part to be clipped. |
3. Clipping the inner part… |
4. …or the outer part. |
The system asks you to indicate an image to be clipped as well as a clip polygon (warning - it is imperative that the clip polygon and the image to be clipped overlap. You can control the clip settings using the Power clip dialog box that appears:
The "Clip polygon visible" function is activated by default. The clip polygon will not be visible after the operation when this function is deactivated.
Select the outer or inner part of the polygon to be clipped using the radio buttons.
After applying power clip, the image and clip polygon are linked; the selection and other commands will be applied to the polygon and the image at the same time. The Stretch command is supported by Power clip - the clip polygon will be modified according to the stretching.
Click on Break the link to separate the clip polygon from the image and thus cancel the clipping.
