Moving Dimension Text

Move dimension text to a new location.

\dimmt

Choose to reposition text by indicating two points or automatically by priority settings.

Indicate the dimension line whose text is to be moved.

By two points:

The text is moved by the distance between the two points. Note that the dimension line may be divided into separate entities by the tick marks.

Continue to indicate other dimensions to be moved by the same displacement.

Automatically:

Use this option to apply the priority settings from the automatic repositioning settings in the Dimension attributes (\adim) command (make sure the automatic repositioning option is on).

Define the displacement. Press Enter to display the Setting Automatic Reposition dialog box. Set the priorities, then indicate the dimension line you want to update.
