Managing Attributes

The Attribute Manager is a new feature used for managing non-geometric entity attributes and is applicable in the Geometric, Area and Quantity modes. Use the Attribute Manager dialog box to perform the following functions:

Create and manage an attribute list

Attach, replace or remove attributes to entities in your model

Highlight and select entities in your model with chosen attributes

Opening the Attribute Manager

Attribute management is performed via the Attribute Manager dialog box.

You can open the attribute manager with a set of attributes taken from entities in your model or with an empty attribute list, to which you can add or import new attributes and values. You have four options:

Sample entity Open the Attribute Manager listing attributes that were previously attached to a (single) entity in the model. Indicate an entity and click to confirm.

Selection group Open the Attribute Manager listing attributes that were previously attached to the current selection group. The Attribute Manager will display all the attributes of all the entities in the group, but the values will not be shown.

All Open the Attribute Manager listing attributes of all the entities in the model. The Attribute Manager displays all the attributes of all the entities, but the values will not be shown.

Add and Import Add attributes to your list. Open the Attribute Manager without displaying any attributes in the list.

The attributes are displayed in a scrollable list box. Each attribute in the list has a corresponding check box to the left of the attribute name.
