Generate quantity reports.
\report
Type a report filename, or press Enter for the current model name. Choose the types of reports you wish to make from the create reports list.
Reports are generated in two formats: ascii, with an .rpn extension for display and printing, and windows -compatible, with a .dpn extension for processing with external programs.
You can generate ten different types of reports:
Wall filename.rp1 (.dp1)
Element filename.rp2 (.dp2)
Line filename.rp3 (.dp3)
Polygon filename.rp4 (.dp4)
Room filename.rp5 (.dp5)
Topology filename.rp6 (.dp6)
Solid filename.rp7 (.dp7)
All Elements filename.rp8 (.dp8)
All Lines filename.rp9 (.dp9)
All Polygons filename.rp10 (.dp10)
NOTE The topology report is for use with external Quantity calculations programs, for making a schematic reproduction of the model for listing quantities and materials.
You can make and view certain quantity reports without having to identify rooms and floors (Wall, Element, Line and Topology reports). To generate Room and Polygon reports, you must identify spaces before making the reports. The reports can be displayed using the Viewing Reports command (\viewrpt).
Print report files from your Windows file manager by associating the corresponding file extension, e.g., *.rp0 with Word or another text editor.
NOTE If you removed placed entities from rooms before using room naming or numbering, you must replace them in the model before generating quantity reports in order to include them in the data.
