Lines

The lines in ARC+ are graphic wireframe entities, which include straight lines, circles and arcs.

A line can be defined between any two points in three dimensions and circles or arcs can be defined on any plane. Lines cannot have solid properties or define a surface. A three-dimensional construction of wire entities is not a solid entity and its hidden lines cannot be removed, i.e., the entity remains transparent.

Wire entities may be used as graphic additions to the surface of solid entities, site boundaries, roads, etc., and also for finalizing two-dimensional drawings. They may also be used in the solid display mode to represent, for example, an atrium where a transparent effect is required.

Lines are created with the current settings for line type, color and width. You can make a contiguous line out of a series of points. Each segment of the line remains an independent entity. Once created, you can modify lines using the line attribute and line editing features. Line entities can be converted into polygons and vice versa.
