Identifying a Floor

Identify a floor by clicking inside it.

\floordef

To generate gross and net floor calculations, you have to identify the extent of the floor.

You can identify a floor area for calculating whether or not room names and numbers have been assigned. Ascertain floor and building numbers (if you have already allocated them) or assign them, then click inside the floor area, or indicate the boundaries of the floor polygon.

In the case of several areas on the same floor (story) in one building, the system allows you to assign the same floor number to each area. This creates a single polygon that connects them for the purposes of the report.

To change floor and building numbers you must use this command and not the one for room numbering. If you use the room numbering option after defining floors, the correct floor number will be displayed in the room numbering dialog box.
