Extruding a Polygon along a Path
Expands a 2D polygon on a 3D path and helps to rectify the profile orientation dynamically
\extrude
You can scan the 2D polygon (draw on the xy plane) along a 3D path (an open or closed polygon)
Indicate the 3D polygon that will serve as a path or profile.
Indicate the polygon profile to extrude and specify the reference point on the polygon.
Specify the scale for increase or reduction of profile during its extrusion along the path or press "Enter" to maintain the same profile size.
Select from the following three options:
Variable (old option)
Vertical ("road" type)
Perpendicular ("handrail" type)
The following table explains the 3 options offered:

Once a profile is extruded, you can use the hotkeys that are usually used for manipulating by dragging (ALT+1 or ALT+2 etc.)
Press "Enter" to validate the changes.
NOTE: Do not move the mouse while using the hotkeys to avoid moving the reference point of the profile. If you move the mouse accidentally, the profile may appear deviated from the original path when you press "Enter". In such a case, press "Enter" again to reposition the profile on the axis of the path.
