Dumping a Model Database
Create an ASCII dump (.dmp) file from the model in the working window.
\dump
This command produces a complete ASCII listing of the contents of an ARC+ model. For an explanation of the dump format, see the Appendix. The attribute codes used in the dump format are the same as those displayed by the Querying the attributes of an entity (\qent) command (see Queries).
Blanked entities are not dumped. Entities in non displayed layers of ARC+ are dumped, as are file references to placed objects in the model. The external files defining the placed objects must be separately dumped, however.
You can display or edit the contents of a dump file with any ASCII editor.
Operation
Specify a filename for the dump file. The system adds the extension .dmp.
The dump file is created in the current directory of your disk.
