Creating a Help Line at an Angle to a Line

Create a pair of help lines at an angle to a line by entering the value or by using a sample.

You can create a help line at any angle by:

Angle (degrees)

Percent (slope)

A sample angle

If you choose one of the first two options, enter the desired angle or percentage. Predefined angles are available in the pop-up menus. Indicate the line to serve as a reference line, and then the point at which to draw the help line.

If you want to create a help line using an existing angle in your model, use the BY SAMPLE option. You do not have to know the value of the angle.
